In 1921, Omer Romanzini and his wife established a family business in the village of La Rivière-Drugeon. Omer began his snail processing venture, initially focusing on canned snail meat from Burgundy. In 1963, he passed on his knowledge to his sons, who in turn passed the business on to their own children, Corinne and Olivier, in 1991, ensuring the continuation of the legacy.
